Dawgs Leave Cats Feeling Blue
So I'm a little late to the party talking about the big win over Kentucky. I watched the game with The Deaner and a friend of ours we hadn't seen in a long time. Another member of the innaugural Harrick's Hounds way back when. At halftime I said, "If Bama did it to us, we can to it to Kentucky." I'm glad to see the team felt the same way. I don't think I can say much more about the game then has already been said. Be sure to check out the posts on the Georgia Sports Blog:

Actually, I do have one more thing. In Chip Towers' article today, he failed to make the more obvious bizarro world observation: Georgia loses to Kentucky in football and beats them in basketball. Who wouldda thunk it?

It might have been "bizarro world" based on history, but the football and basketball matchups between UGA and UK were both predicted by the odds makers to be very close games. So, they went pretty much as expected.
ReplyDeleteOur football team had lost 3 of 4 going into the UK game and let's give the Cats some credit - they proved at the end of the year by almost winning at UT and then whipping Clemson in their bowl game that they are a pretty good football team.
We were 2 point favorites to win the hoops game. It was a game we should have won in Athens, but had to fight incredibly hard to do it because we came out so flat in the first half.
