Check
this out. Considering they pick Georgia to win the East, they don't spend much time talking about the Dawgs. Naturally much more attention is paid to Nick Saban. However, they do pick Knowshon Moreno to be newcomer of the year. Sounds good to me!
For May 1st, it is a good article. Clearly, the slant of the article is raw raw raw SEC discussing the now 54 Georgia Bulldogs in the NFL, the 9 Drafted from Florida – all from Ron Zook’s Defense, Nick Saban’s 4 in the 1st Round from LSU, the 4 and a half SEC Coaches with BCS National Championships, but if you missed it, Chris Low goes into the schedules of the teams. And, each team plays Georgia.
ReplyDeleteWe have brutal games on the road against Florida in Jacksonville where I am going through on my vacation to get us to where we want to be, which is not Jacksonville and certainly not in November.
And, of course, we play former BCS NC Phillip Fulmer in our own Division along with the game with Urban Meyer, current BCS NC. Then there is the game early on with Steve Spurrier who won a previous BCS NC in 1996 at Florida. He discusses Kentucky who has a far better offense than we had last season, and points out if they played Defense what they could do; but, they beat us. So did Vandie whom he did not mention.
That’s in our Division alone. Auburn is an afterthought in a vols fan discussion. And, that is what Chris Low is – a vols fan - quoting Phillip Fulmer, whom no one quotes outside of ObKnoxiousville. Auburn, he says will see Brandon Cox do great things this season; which is what was said this time last year too, if you recall. I remain unimpressed, but Auburn certainly had a great year and one of the Final AP Poll Top 9 teams.
Chris Low discusses the recruiting of Florida too as the best class in the nation. But, here again, what he doesn’t say about Coach Richt when discussing the 5 Best Coaches in the SEC, is that Coach Richt suffered greatly from not getting his men he recruited last year on the field except for only 3 of the entire recruiting class. Then, Chris Low does say that Moreno is going to play. Let’s see, Danny Ware didn’t get drafted and signed a free agent deal because he would not get any playing time, and Knowshon Moreno is going to be the star taking Danny Ware’s snaps this season ? Greg Lumpkin, Thomas Brown, Brannan Southerland and the host of others such as Fred Munzenmaier may have something to say about that, right ? And, if discussing Knowshon in the G-Day Game, why not mention the star of the game for a Defense that was Woeful except for Paul Oliver and the Star Reshad Jones instead ?
I do not miss the point.
6 SEC Teams in the Final AP Poll Top 25.
We could end up playing all of those teams. And, throw in Georgia Tech who was in the ACC Championship Game and now doesn’t have Reggie Ball, but is still on Probation for Major Violations NCAA Database in 4 sports including football. And, then there is this little game against a totally exciting offense in our first tilt of the Fall.
Georgia ?
Chris Low picks Georgia to win it all in the SEC East and lose to LSU in the SEC Championship Game, with this brutal schedule ?
Yeah, right.
Here is where that is a nonsequitor :

“Georgia has major question marks on defense”
[/b] [/quote]
Tony Taylor star of the Peach Bowl and 2 SEC Championships is on the Atlanta Falcons now. Our Punter Gordon Ely Kelso is also a Falcon now too and we demonstrated issues in Punting without him, and now have only Paul Oliver left for our Punters to have their punts blocked or put them on a short field to Defend with no Defense here any longer. Danny Verdun-Wheeler is on the Chicago Bears now. Jarvis Jackson joins the Tennessee Titans with Danny Ware. Tra Battle takes his gig to the San Diego Chargers. The Oakland Raiders sport Quentin Moses. And, Charles Johnson takes his game to the Carolina Panthers. That’s just on Defense.
On Offense Ken Shackleford drafted by the Falcons, joins Martrez Milner also drafted by the Falcons who already have DJ Shockley among the now 56 former Georgia Bulldogs in the NFL today. Nick Jones and Daniel Inman both also signed free agent contracts.
56.
That averages two on 24 NFL teams and 8 NFL teams with 1 former Bulldog.
So, don’t tell me about the 9 Florida lost please Chris Low, note in passing that Georgia has major question marks…
And, then pick Georgia to beat all these teams on our schedule you point out each of the other teams on our schedule has to play us. Excuse me.
Coach Richt has got to do a far better job of getting players he recruited on the football field making an impact, and visible for the recruits to see that coming here they get the playing time he promised them.
And, our Defense is going to get lit up in Game 1, as it has ever since all these Defensive Stars on our team last season took their stellar play to the NFL to showcase it to the rest of the known world.
SEC East Champion Chris Low of ESPN ?
You are out of your ever-loving mind with only Paul Oliver listed on the Depth Chart that our Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator state they must totally rework to get these highly visible top players on Defense once again on the damn field before we play all these games you discuss the other teams must play.
The other teams were all ranked ahead of Georgia. And, that was with all these Defensive Players that had once again a Top 10 NCAA Total Defense last season for us. They are gone now to the NFL, all of them sans Paul Oliver, and yet even with them there was no Poll last season that ranked Georgia at all except for the Final AP Poll at Number 23. That is directly because our Offense Number 90 in the NCAA Total Offense, kept putting our Defense back on the Field with 23 fumbles or interceptions by just our 1 quarterback alone.
He pulls anything close to that again this season, and I will expose such writers as Chris Low as the bumbling misfits we are going to look as a team, while we get nothing but yet more press about arrested guys being arrested again –for the same town drunk Akeem Hebron is. Of the 3 linebackers now Chicago Bears, Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons linebackers instead, Akeem Hebron was going to be taking their places.
Plan B.
For a team whose Offense is Number 90 in the NCAA Total Offense because it has a quarterback who turned the ball over himself 23 times to his only 7 TD passes and only 3 rushing TDs, having Akeem Hebron playing town drunk, twice, could not possibly be worse trouble than it in fact is.
And, how does it make the coach look ?
“Akeem, I penciled you in at linebacker on my depth chart. Now, for your 1st offense, I suspend you for the games up-coming instead.”
“Coach, nice message. I got arrested again for the same offense. I think you failed to get your point across.”
“Now, try playing Defense without me. I want to get my name in the newspaper as such a great recruit of yours, with no one wanting to come here of the top players anyway because you never let us on the field to show what we can do.”
We are in serious trouble and this ESPN article May 1, 2007 is the single most preposterous prediction since I read another vols fan say Georgia would not be 9-4 again this season without any semblance of a Defense except for Paul Oliver (And, Reshad Jones if the coach puts him on the 2-deep anywhere which today he is not.), but only lose 1 game all season long that vols fan stated. Another Bulldog fan says he can find no game we lose this coming season.
Some folks would be better off reading instead of writing. Reading even what they themselves state as fact :

Whoa, who wrote that anonymous comment...BuLLdawg?
ReplyDeleteSounds similar to a guy named Grady on an SEC board. His gloom and doom is comical, but getting old.
ReplyDeleteI had actually accused HIM of being BuLLDawg........
