It's been an interesting week for Danny Ware. After the Tennessee Titans signed Chris Brown, they waived Danny Ware. That was the bad news. The good news is the New York Jets have already signed Ware off waivers.Now I could talk about how Ware leaving early was a big risk, and it looks like he's having a hard time making the risk pay off. However, I'd rather talk about the picture you see here. That picture is on the Jets page of Scout.com, which is where I linked to above that Ware had signed with the Jets.
Here is my question, is that Danny Ware? First off, the player is wearing number 23. Ware wore 28 at Georgia. Second, looking at the patch on the player's uniform, that picture was taken at the Capital One Bowl. Georgia last played in that bowl following the 2003 season against Purdue. In 2003, Tim Jennings wore 23, and Danny Ware was not yet playing for Georgia. But that just doesn't look at all like Tim Jennings.
Was Danny Ware an early enrollee? If so, maybe he was at the Capital One Bowl that year. If that is the case, it would make sense that he wasn't wearing 28, because Kregg Lumpking wore 28 that year. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Ware & AJ Bryant (I think) both came in as early signees and were able to practice with the team for the Capital One game against Perdue. They changed the numbers around later.
