There are so many things that are thrown at you as a rookie, not just from the football side of it, but from a lot of different directions. He's been able to grasp the football side of it really fast. It's going to pay huge dividends for him down the road.Brooking has more to say in the article, and Taylor also talks about his respect and admiration for Brooking. Hopefully this will silence the rumors that Taylor and Brooking got into an actual fight over Georgia and Georgia Tech t-shirts during an off-season workout session. I'm sure whatever happened was blown way out of proportion on the message boards.

Taylor Fairing Better Than Gibson
Fred Gibson was cut three days into Falcons training camp. Tony Taylor is still around, and it sounds like he's doing really well. A large portion of this article focuses on the fact that Taylor went undrafted, why that was, and how he dealt with it. However, I like to the focus on the part about training camp, especially the comments from Keith Brooking.

A fight???? that is the first I heard of that. I do know that Brooking will throw down at the drop of a hat, nothing personal just scrappin'. Do you have a link to that rumor?
ReplyDeleteI don't really like watching the NFL or rooting for the Falcons. I know that sounds insane....but when I turn on a Falcons game, Keith Brookins come on my screen and my stomach churns.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see the Colts, Peyton Manning is shown.
Tampa Bay....Cadillac and in Miami..R.Brown.
See a trend? I bleed Red 'N Black and I can't cheer for Keith Brooking. I hope he misses every possible tackle that comes his way.
(Keith Freakin' Brooking....)
Oh...congrads on Taylor. You can't help but root for him. We'll miss him on D this year.
