Hoops Team Wins Despite Scoring Droughts

Georgia beat Delaware State 58-47 tonight in Athens. But check out these tidbits from the AP Recap.

Georgia led 45-23 with 16:05 to go in the game. With 2:56 left in the game, Georgia led 56-45.

So they scored 11 points in just over 13 minutes. They then scored only 2 over the final three minutes.

This team has to find a way to score other than jacking up threes. It worked tonight with Billy Humphrey making six threes and Troy Brewer four. But as we saw last season, that won't cut it on a consistent basis.
