An Open Letter to Knowshon Moreno

Dear Knowshon,

We know that you're from New Jersey and you may not be aware of the recent history of the Georgia Bulldogs. You're one of the brightest spots of the last decade so we have a list of requests that we hope you can fulfill:

1) Please go to class.

2) Please be home by 11 PM every night. Too many bad things happen after midnight. Play video games with your offensive line instead of going downtown.

3) Please don't ever listen to Herschel Walker comparisons. You are your own man.

4) Please never talk to Jeremy Schaap.

5) Please don't ever listen if a teammate asks you to hide in a closet.

6) Please continue to be like Reggie Bush on the field in college, not off the field.

7) Please don't drive even if you've smelled a beer. There are plenty of people that will drive you wherever you want to go.

8) Please keep jumping up off the ground and running back to the huddle. We love it.

9) Please don't sell your ring on ebay once you win an SEC title.

10) Please don't make it rain at Topper's.

11) Please don't go out with Kevin Butler after a victory. I don't trust him.

12) Please go to class. Often.

and...

13) If you see Jim Harrick Jr. Turn around and run like we all know you can.

Thanks for coming to UGA Knowshon. We're all pulling for you.

  6. Anybody have any idea how he got the name Knowshon?

I heard it this weekend that it was from the song "Rock the Boat"

"So I'd like to know where, you got the Knowshon
said I'd like to know where, you got the Knowshon

to rock the boat, don't rock the boat baby
rock the boat, don't tip the boat over
rock the boat, don't rock the boat baby
    rock the boat-t-t-t-t"

    Any truth to that?

  7. I believe the lyric is notion, only sounds like Knowshon (reggae voice).

Well written letter. I hope he reads it and realizes how much he means to a lot of people.

  8. I read that the "know" stands for knowledge and the "shon" is a combination of his parent's names.
