Big Win for Felton and Co.

Georgia beat Arkansas handily last night 82-69 in front of a sparse crowd due to the weather. I felt like we could win this game, mainly because PWD said we could, but I was not at all expecting the game to play out the way it did.

While the game was close with several lead changes in the first half, the Dawgs led big for much of the second half. The real surprise was how well Georgia shot the ball (just over 50% from the field). We scored inside, and we scored outside. Being able to get the ball into Price, and even Dave Bliss who in my opinion had the best offensive game of his career, really opened up the inside out game. Players were able to kick the ball out to Terrance Woodbury and Billy Humphrey to knock down wide open shots. Another pleasant surprise was the play of Chris Barnes. He looked like he may be ready to contribute in SEC play.

Not as surprising, but equally impressive was Georgia's defense. Felton did a great job mixing up zone schemes with some man throughout the game. It really seemed to frustrate Arkansas, and forced them into 17 turnovers.

At 2-1 in SEC play, Georgia is currently 3rd in the East behind Tennessee (3-0) and Florida (3-1). With no game this week, the Dawgs should be well rested heading to Knoxville on Saturday. But as we know, it's hard to win on the road in the SEC.
