Deja Vu All Over Again

Another defection. Another defeat. Just another day for the Georgia basketball team.

Citing a decrease in playing time as the reason for his departure, Singleton is taking his shot blocking skills elsewhere.
I’ve decided to part ways with the Georgia program for the purpose of transferring to another school. It is my hope that I can stay at UGA through Spring Semester so I can complete my academic work for the school year. There are no hard feelings at all and I’d like to wish my teammates the best of luck this season and in the future.
I've lost count of how many players have quit or been dismissed from the team under Felton. With Jeremy Jacob still out with a foot injury, the Dawgs are now down to nine scholarship players until Jacob returns. This season just may get real ugly real quick.

Onto last night's game...Despite a strong start from Billy Humphrey (12 points on 4-5 from three land in the first four minutes) Georgia couldn't keep pace with the Zags. With no inside game whatsoever, Georgia jacked up shots for much of the game. It worked early with Humphrey, then Troy Brewer tried but failed to get in on the act. Before you knew it, the Zags built up a nice lead.

With some key steals late in the game, Georgia cut Gonzaga's lead down to seven, but never got any closer.

The box score tells the story. All you have to do is look at who scored to see what is wrong.

You read that right, only eight points from our post players. For the time being, we look like the team from two years ago. Good guard play with no one to score from inside. I miss Takais Brown.
