Dogs down Dawgs

Well, neither team was going to wow anyone with their offense in this game. Mississippi State beat Georgia 60-49 on Saturday. This was a tough game to watch. As poorly as Georgia shot the basketball (16 of 65 from the floor), they were still in the game late. Although, State's defense definitely had something to do with the poor field goal percentage. State blocked 16 shots officially, led by Jarvis Varnado who actually blocked three shots on one possession.

I was pretty down on the team after watching the game. However, the news outlets and Coach Felton didn't seem to take it so bad.
"I have a lot more to be pleased about than disappointed," Felton said. "I thought we did a whole lot of things well and competed very, very well."
I mean, MSU did hold LSU to only 39 points. And that was at LSU.

Up next is Alabama at the Steg on Wednesday night.
