However, with Xavier's smaller, quicker lineup, it could pose problems on the defensive end. They don't have any "bigs" down low. They like to shoot a lot and drive to the basket rather than posting up. I'm interested to see if we try to defend mostly with a man or zone defense.
Aside from what I think, we can also look at common opponents. Both Georgia and Xavier beat Auburn. In addition, bot Georgia and Xavier lost to Tennessee. In steps Bruce Pearl with his opinion. Pearl seems to think we can win. In an interview with Tony Barnhart, Pearl detailed five things Georgia needs to do to win. It basically boils down to keep doing what was done in the SEC tournament.
One of Pearl's keys was to watch out for Xavier's Stanley Burrell (pictured above). I know what you are thinking...MC Hammer plays for Xavier? How is that possible?!?

Empire Tickets has tickets available for the game.
I think the keys to the game are:
ReplyDelete- our start. If we can get off to a fast start that could put Xavier on its heels a little bit.
-Billy Ball. Humphrey's needs to be hot. He can't play like he did against MSU.
-Rebounds. I think our play on the offensive boards could be huge.koexingy
Felton to his team today: Let's all take a mustache ride through the tournament.
ReplyDeleteDid you record the SEC championship? Can you put out a highlights clip like you do for football?
ReplyDeleteAnon - As of right now I'll say it's a possibility. I've got all of the games but in different places and in different formats. I'm not sure what I can do with that right now.
ReplyDeleteCool, I hope it works out. You have a ton of options as far as music goes with "champion" in the title.
