The photos on the Athens Banner Herald site from the game are pretty telling. Here are a few of my favorites:

Sundiata: Not driving to the basket, and not being fouled.

Woodbury: Not being fouled.

Swansey: Not being fouled.

Jump Ball!
Obviously the jump ball call was the worst. That and the clean block Bliss had against the backboard. That was potentially a four point swing, which was huge in this game.
Anyway, here's what Ed Hightower did to the Georgia basketball team on Thursday.

is there no way for justice? is there anywhere you can complain to the ncaa about the refs throwin the game?
ReplyDeleteI was getting angrier as I watched those refs F*** us repeatedly. A perfect example was the Bliss block. He gets whistled and it was perfectly clean. I watched a tournament game to day, Miss. St. and Memphis I believe, where a play exactly like Bliss's was not called. Sundiata was getting raped every time he drove. No calls. Xavier drives and we get zapped. I saw us called for offensive fouls twice during that circus, with none for Xavier. Billy Humphrey said something indirectly about the refs, and so did Felton. I wrote down the names of the 3 refs, and would love to write a letter, but I'm sure it wouldn't do any good. Without a doubt, those zebras were biased, and its a shame that those players work their ass off, and their whole season is decided by 3 pathetic officials.
ReplyDeleteits always the refs.. quit whining
