ESPN.com is reporting that word is Odell Thurman has violated the league substance abuse policy...again. Odell's story is well-chronicled and he looked to be on the way back. In the last few weeks Thurman has
been reinstated, released by the Bengals (later
blamed on 'family issues'), rebuffed
by the Falcons, and now this. If this is true it seems like Thurman will be worrying less about football and more about getting his life back together.

3: There is a point at which a troubled athlete loses the benefit of the doubt. When Odell Thurman misses offseason works, his agent cites the grandmother’s death as an excuse and Cincinnati coach Marvin Lewis responds, “His grandmother’s been buried for quite a while,” you know he’s lost that benefit.
