Rocky Stop!

That's the cheesiest headline I could think of.

What I liked about the game:

  • That Stafford threw for 300 yds. for the first time in his career. Now unoriginal TV announcers have to find something else to talk about. It's like after Mickelson won a major, everyone was just happy that we didn't have to hear about it anymore.

  • That Blair Walsh looked like a reliable field goal kicker in a big SEC game. Let's face it, it's hard to trust someone with a name that sounds like it's from the new 90210 but we're getting there.

  • That we witnessed the return of the token Brannan Southerland touchdown run. If he was attending Clemson I would have thought he had a TD per game "promise" when he got his scholarship.

  • That the Time of Possession was 42 to 18 in favor of the Dawgs! You know those kinda outdated and usually faded car magnets that say "We're on our way to see the Dawgs play"? Those people went home happy Saturday, and so did the Deaner.

  • That Tennessee fans didn't show up for the game. Most were calm and un-ridiculous. Sure they can't agree on a shade of Adidas Orange but they were a somber and mellow bunch at Sanford from what I saw.
  • That once I was home I realized that 3 huge losses occurred and that there may be hope for this UGA team yet... I'm just saying I want Bama in the Dome... Or Miss St. wouldn't be so bad either! Thanks other Bulldogs! Now Vandy will be an earlier game and I can watch it before a 3:30 wedding! And also thanks to the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs too for making all the nerds look silly.

and for the bad news...

What I didn't like about the game

  • The punting game. C'mon Brian Mimbs. How do you expect to win the SEC East when you can't even get a single punt off in the first half?!?!?!?
