Are You Georgia?

For the second installment, we're going to talk basketball. Like before, feel free to comment if you agree or disagree with each person's placement. If you have any future nominees for any category in any sport, send me an email at originalblawger@gmail.com.

I'm Rashad Wright, and I'm Georgia.
It is pretty funny to think back to the first time I saw Rashad Wright. I had just become a member of the first Harrick's Hounds. They let us in to watch practice while we waited to sign up for our tickets, get our t-shirts, etc. I was sitting there with the Deaner, Matt Moore, and others...and we were all talking about, "Who is this guy wearing goggles and Moses White's number?" That guy ditched the goggles prior to the season, and he is now the career assists leader for Georgia basketball.

I'm Nick Temen, and I'm Georgia...kind of.
The Grecian Sensation transferred to Georgia from Malcom X Junior College for the 2000 season. He was a big hit with the students because he made many fancy passes a la Jason Williams. Not the one accused of murder, and not the one that crashed a motorcycle. The other one. Temen ended up leaving Georgia to play professionaly in Greece after only one season.

I'm Jeremey Schaap, and I'm not Georgia.
I'm sure the Jan Kemp lovers won't like this one. They will say what Jeremy Schaap did was good for Georgia. Honestly, I don't totally disagree with that. Schaap's story got rid of the Harricks, which was a good thing. The problem I have with Schapp is this. He had that story in October of 2002. It didn't air on ESPN until March of 2003. They waited to air the story until it would have the maximum impact on the program.

  1. At some point, please post a blog regarding a BOYCOTT OF GATORADE.

I saw another Florida Gator football-related Gatorade commercial the other day celebrating Florida's football championship.

This is propoganda for Florida and something that could help them on the recruiting trail with notoriety and stuff.

We need everyone on this. All Dawg bloggers need to post and organize a boycott of Gatorade until the ads are pulled.

  2. Amen on Schapp.

That little weasel was practically hiding behind a dumpster waiting to assault Harrick on-camera. He's the Geraldo of the sports media, and a disgrace to all of the great work his father did.
