No Munson This Weekend

All kinds of articles are starting to pop up about the Alabama game being the first without Larry Munson. People are trying to gauge the significance and if Dawg fans will still listen to the radio broadcast without Munson. Personally, I would like to because I want to see what Scott Howard and Eric Zeier sound like together. Unfortunately, it just doesn't work out with the setup I have. I have DirecTV, which seems to have an even longer delay in programming than cable. So if I listen to the radio broadcast while watching the TV simultaneously, I could hear "Touchdown!" before the ball is even snapped. This obviously presents a problem.

I guess I need a DRR (Digital Radio Recorder) so that I can pause the radio and let the TV catch up. Is DRR even a term? Oddly enough, I just found one while I've been writing this. You think it's worth $49.99 to get one to be able to listen to football games on the radio while watching TV?

So anyway, I don't think this is going to affect me at all (unless I get a DRR). I bring my headset with me to home games and listen to Munson at the stadium. Until Larry stops doing home games, I'll probably only hear the highlights of "Howard's Greatest Calls." That just doesn't sound right yet...
