Upcoming Games on TV

This Saturday's game against Alabama will be on ESPN for a 7:45 PM (EST) kickoff. On top of that, for even more Nick Saban coverage, GameDay will be broadcast live from Tuscaloosa. Can't you just wait for all of the stories about how many people went to the spring game? How Saban has already turned them around with the win over Arkansas? How all he's missing is the hounds tooth hat? If I watch it, and I'm sure I will, this will be the first I've seen of GameDay all year. It's just not what it used to be.

In other news, the Ole Miss game at home will not kickoff at 9PM as has been rumored. Instead, it will be a 1PM kickoff with no television coverage. And if you are wondering, no it will not be on pay per view. My understanding is you can only overlap one SEC time slot per season with pay per view. Since we already had a 1PM pay per view against Western Carolina, which overlapped with the Lincoln Financial 12:30 game, we can't have any more pay per views in that time slot. So, if you want to see the game, you need a ticket. Unless you wait for the CSS replay of course.

  1. Any rumors on the GA/FL game start time? Isn't it usually the 3:30 CBS game??

  3. I can't believe the Miss St / SCUm game got picked up instead of us.
Kudos to Miss St for knocking off Auburn, but seriously, who the hell thinks that game is a bigger draw than Georgia / Ole Miss.
I'm guessing that would be the same morons that ranked SCUm #12 this week after they beat SC State.
That's oksy, when LSU rips them a new one this weekend and kills Blake Mitchell in the process, LFS will realize their colossal blunder.

  4. PCK - I would think the GA/FL game will be on CBS. The other games that weekend are:
    Florida International at Arkansas
    Ole Miss at Auburn
    Mississippi State at Kentucky
    South Carolina at Tennessee
    Miami (Ohio) at Vanderbilt

Anon - It's crazy. Hopefully we'll have the SEC network soon and they'll broadcast all the games that don't get picked up.

Ally - It's dumb. But, I think Lincoln Financial has to show each school at least once per their contract. This kills two birds with one stone :-)
