Adding Injury to Insult

As if the beat down wasn't bad enough, Thomas Brown is out 4 to 6 weeks with a broken collarbone according to David Ching.

This is a real shame. Both for Thomas and our football team. On an individual note, the 20 yards rushing Brown gained against Tennessee put him at 2,280 yards rushing for his career. He now has passed Frank Sinkwich for 6th all time at Georgia.

I was projecting him to pass Rodney Hampton for 4th all time by the end of the season. However, with this injury, the odds of him even passing Kevin McLee for 5th are not looking very good.

  1. In other injury news, it looks like the neck injury Mack Strong suffered in Sunday's game for the Seahawks will effectively end his 15-year NFL career. One of the greatest guys in the league and it's unfortunate to see his season and career end prematurely.

He and Lorenzo Neal were arguably the two best fullbacks in football the better half of the last decade. A great career for the former UGA back.

  2. I heard about that. I'm researching a post about it now. Expect something on Mack soon!
