A lot has happened since my last post. Knownst to me but unbeknownst to you (reference anyone?), my dad met the whole basketball team in Columbia last week. He happened to be staying at the same hotel as the team. When he told the players he was a Georgia alum, every single one of them came up and shook his hand. My dad estimated that Albert Jackson was twice his height, and said that every player was extremely nice to him. Unfortunately the happy story ends there as the team then lost...twice.
Things only get worse in the near future, with Vanderbilt coming to the Steg on Wednesday night followed by a trip to play the Gators. This team needs to find an inside presence and quick. Actually, they just need to score from inside. They played their best against Kentucky with Gaines and Woodbury slashing to the basket. Humphrey's jump shot just isn't falling right now, and you can't fault him with his knee problem. It must be incredibly hard to get his legs under a shot.
