Halfway Through the SEC...

At the midpoint of the conference schedule, Georgia is 5-3. To be perfectly honest, I thought we'd be 3-5 at this point. Before we got into conference play, I mapped out how the team could go 8-8. I figured that would get us into the tourney. I had us going 3-5 in the first eight games, and 5-3 in the last eight. In case you are wondering, I thought we would lose to Kentucky and LSU, the rest of the games I had right. The crazy thing is if we do go 5-3 in the second half of the conference schedule, as I predicted, we'll end up at 10-6 in the conference. Not in my wildest dreams did I think this team would go 10-6 in the SEC. I think 10-6 is reallistic at this point. But, I think 9-7 will get us in at maybe a 10 seed. We'll just have to watch and see. Hopefully the team remembers they have Takais tomorrow, and they stop hoisting up threes.

I had Georgia at 3-5 midway through the conference schedule. I had no idea Takais Brown was this good. Image from OnlineAthens.com.
