Coach Richt has an interesting point in there about the complexity that having Coutu available adds to the gameday decision making.
"In some ways [Coutu] adds pressure because if you're sitting at a 52-yard attempt and it's fourth-and-1 1/2, now it's not a no-brainer anymore," Richt said. "You say, 'Well we could go for it, but gosh, the kid could probably make it.' More than likely I'd kick it, where when he wasn't there, it was like, 'We know for sure we're going for it."First, I don't think I ever thought about it that way. I generally just thought, "Man, this stinks. Now we don't have anyone that can kick field goals."
"We didn't have to sit there at that moment and wonder, 'What should we do?'"
Second, you've gotta love the fact that Richt said "gosh" in that quote. He really does love that word.
