In case you missed it, Eric Zeier has been named the color commentator for road games this year. And in case you've really been under a rock, that's because Munson is only calling home games this year. And yes I know Munson is calling the Tech game. Like I said, Munson is only calling home games this year.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of the Zeier decision. I would have preferred Jeff Dantzler or even Kevin Butler. I know why JD didn't get the gig, but I'm not sure about Butler.
I'm pretty much basing all of this on the 5th quarter show. Zeier was very boring on the show when he replaced Dantzler a few years back. So much so that he only lasted one season, and he was promptly replaced by Butler. Maybe Zeier will be better calling the game than taking calls from fans. We'll just have to wait and see.
