State of the East

The picture is finally clearing up. As of right now, it looks like a two horse race between Georgia and Tennessee for the SEC East. South Carolina and Kentucky have all but taken themselves out of the race. But as we've seen all over the country this season, things can change in a hurry.

What once seemed a long shot in Georgia reaching the SEC title is now a real possibility. However, it's definitely not a forgone conclusion. The Dawgs need to win out and have Tennessee lose another game. That would put Georgia in the Dome against the West champ (most likely LSU).

I still think that winning out is going to be the hardest part. Arkansas has a real shot of beating Tennessee this weekend if Darren McFadden and Felix Jones keep it up. And after that, Tennessee still has to play Vandy and Kentucky.

Lucky for us Dawg fans, we can watch the UT vs. Arky game Saturday morning before we kickoff against Auburn. We should know the final of that game some time during the first half of ours. But, hopefully the fans are the only ones paying attention. I want the players full focus on Auburn.

And one more thing about the East race, I'm tired of media outlets saying Georgia has sole possession of first place in the East. We don't! Until Tennessee loses, they are in first.

  1. Hey, I know you do a lot of video highlight reels and I was wondering if you have a copy of the win over Florida. I am trying to get a copy to send to some friends overseas.
